About Us

Voices of Waterloo is a collaborative project between JobActive and the Work for the Dole program which enables the community of Waterloo to express their opinions, passions, fears and experiences on a larger, online platform. The intention of this project is to collect the stories that emerge from the community of Waterloo in one place; like a snapshot of the area. The outcomes for the participants of the project are to develop interpersonal skills, work co-cooperatively in a small team and develop a style of writing and editing that is appropriate to the intelligent verbatim nature of the project.

All opinions, thoughts and feelings are valid and we encourage all participants to be honest and upfront. Your story may resonate with others.
